# AI Funding in Luxembourg

## Who this is for
- Luxembourg SMEs considering an AI project and wondering what the State
  will cover.
- Organisations that have heard of SME Packages but not how the process
  runs.
- Non-profits and associations trying to establish whether they qualify.
- Anyone about to sign with a provider before checking the funding rules.

## Problem
- The most common way to lose the aid is to start too early: signing and
  beginning work before the ministry decides puts the whole file at risk.
- The real obstacle is rarely size. It is the minimum project cost and the
  fact that you pay the provider in full before being reimbursed, so the
  cash sits with you for the length of the procedure.
- Non-profits usually fall outside SME Packages, which is built around
  holding a business permit and carrying out economic activity.
- Published timelines vary with demand, so any fixed number would mislead.

- Explain how the scheme runs and where the sequencing traps are, before
  you commit to anything.
- Work out what is worth building, which is independent of whether it is
  funded.
- Scope a project in enough detail to be priced: vague quotes are what
  stall a file.
- Handle AI Act readiness, which applies regardless of funding.

  architecture is open-source and under your control.

## How we work
- Crystallized Intelligence is not yet a funded delivery provider under
  SME Packages. We are in the process of becoming qualified and will say so
  here when that is complete.
- The free pre-analysis appointment at the House of Entrepreneurship is the
  correct first step, and you do not need us to make it.
- Everything we do either side of the funding is independent of the scheme.
