# EU AI Act Readiness in Luxembourg

## Who this is for
- Small businesses and NGOs in Luxembourg using AI in any customer-facing
  way: chatbots, auto-replies, voice assistants.
- Organisations publishing AI-generated or AI-edited images, audio, or video.
- Anyone using AI to rank, recommend, or decide about people.
- Teams whose staff use AI tools day to day without a written position on it.

## Problem
- The AI Act is written for a wide range of actors, and most published
  guidance is aimed at the largest of them.
- Small organisations cannot tell which obligations land on them and which
  are irrelevant, so they either over-prepare or ignore it entirely.
- Compliance advice from large firms is priced for large firms.
- Transparency obligations under Article 50 have applied since
  2 August 2026 and are now in force, independently of any other deadline.
- One narrow extension: generative AI systems already on the market before
  2 August 2026 have until 2 December 2026 to meet the machine-readable
  marking requirement for AI-generated output. That grace period covers the
  marking duty alone, and content produced before 2 August 2026 does not
  have to be labelled retroactively.

  documentation that the obligations require, in a form your team can
  maintain.
- Ongoing governance: keep the position current as tools and usage change.
- Say clearly when an obligation does not apply to you.
